Student Presentations:  First research paper

Our first research paper is due on Thursday, April 3, and student presentations of your work begin on that date.

What I am looking for is a formal presentation of about 6 - 7 minutes with a few minutes left open for questions and answers, for a total of 10 minutes / presenter.

Presentations should include a description of your research, why it is important and/or interesting to you, and a careful description of your work.  This description may include the entire topic of your paper, or, at your discretion, it may be a presentation of part of your work.

The format of the presentation is up to you.  I will ask presenters to to be at the front of the class during your presentation.  You should feel free to use the chalkboard and/or the computer during your presentation.  As you know, I am not a "power user" of PowerPoint, but what I know I am happy to share.

Presentations will be according to the following schedule:

Thursday, April 3:

  1. David Fuller
  2. Tim Hamersly
  3. Emily Bernstein
  4. Kaylana Patterson
  5. Mitchell Kilgore
  6. Stephanie Devenny
  7. Addison Larock

Tuesday, April 7:

  1. Mary Brehove
  2. Niklas Gerlach
  3. Ian Hughes
  4. Mariah Seller
  5. Zach Snydar
  6. Jackson Socolofsky
  7. Ivan Chen

Please recall that this presentation counts for 10% of your grade on this paper.

Any questions?  Please ask!
