Flying on the Lorenz strange attractor

Below is a version of the animation we looked at in class. The animation shows two solution curves for the Lorenz equations (with a particular choice of parameter values), one green and the other red. These solution curves have initial conditions that differ by only a small distance. You will also see two points, one tracing out each curve as the time variable increases. The two points follow similar orbits for a time and then separate. After the initial separation, the orbits are essentially independent.
