Project Introductions
Spring 2022
Goal
Let's kick of the semester properly, with some project-related introductions! The goal of these "overview presentations" is for each group to have a chance to introduce their project (and their team) to the rest of the class so we all know what everybody else is working on. This is intended to be a friendly opportunity for you all to share some of the details of your projects, and get questions and feedback from the class as we launch into their implementation.
Guidelines
- Each team will get 20 minutes to present their project — 15 minutes to talk, maximum, and 5 for questions and/or the inevitable technological snafus.
- Each team should have some slides or other visual materials prepared to share with the class.
- Every member of the team must be present for the presentation, and able to answer questions about the project.
- Consider the following outline for your talk:
- Introduce the team members
- Give a brief overview of your project.
- What will it do?
- Why did you choose it?
- Do you have a customer?
- What are your stretch goals?
- How far along are you with your plans or implementations?
- Talk through some of the more interesting or challenging aspects in more detail
- Discuss how your team is splitting the work, how you'll collaborate, etc.
- Give a brief description of your timeline
- Describe how you'll evaluate your project once it's finished
- Tell us what you hope to demo the week of 2/14
- Are there things you want input or feedback on from the crowd?
