I have research interests in databases, artificial intelligence, and geographic information science.
I am also involved in pedagogy and curriculum development in Computer Science. I have particular interest in incorporating topics such as robotics and computer games into the CS curriculum. I am currently a Principle Investigator on the NSF-funded Java Instructional Gaming (JIG) project.
I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, orienteering, ultimate frisbee, tennis, and computer programming and gaming.
I am the advisor to the UPS Ultimate frisbee team.
